Los Angeles, May 20. "The newest Hollywood sheik goes to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. I might go farther and say my own private and personal crush has been signed on a long term contract by Louis B. Mayer. Jackie Cooper is his name. You have seen him in "Skippy."

Jackie was put under contract by Hal Roach and through an arrangement with Mr. Roach he has been able to sign this lucrative contract with M. G. M. which is said to net him $1,000 a week. His first picture in all likelihood will be "Oliver Twist."

I am told that Jackie, indifferent to most women, likes me a little bit. He sent me a message and the other day I received an autographed photograph from him. Little did I think at my age that I would ever reach the place where I'd put a signed autograph of a young man on my dressing table. I who have known so many actors in my life.
