Darla Jean Hood seems to have no limit to her resources for winning and holding audiences. In a short 1,000 feet of film she dances, sings and plays a scene from "Little Miss Marker," film hit of Shirley Temple.

The audience composed of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Danner, grandparents of little Miss Hood, Mr. and Mrs. Melville Danner and daughter, MelRuth, and friends of Miss Hood sat entranced at a private showing of the screen test given Miss Hood in New York. The test resulted in the signing of a contract for Miss Hood with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer motion picture company.

In Screen Test

Little Miss Hood is starring in "Our Gang" comedies. Her first picture has already been released and will be shown at the Princess theatre here in the near future. At present Miss Hood is working with Thelma Todd on "Bohemian Girl."

Sings Three Songs

In the screen test Miss Hood informed the director that she was Darla Jean Hood from Oklahoma and three years old. She admitted that the things she liked best in New York were the tall buildings and shows. When questioned further she said, "I'd just love to be in the movies."

The songs featured in the test were: "I'll Never Say Never, Again Again" and "You've Got Me Walking on the Tip of My Toes" and "The Hats on the Side of My Head."
