Little Darla Jean Hood, darling of Western Oklahoma, and one of the newest in the field of talented baby motion picture stars, was an Erick visitor Sunday (the 10th). One of the "Our Gang" comedies in which Darla Jean appears, was showing at the Erick Theatre, and she, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hood, of Leedey, was a guest of the management.

Little Miss Hood was her very charming, sweet self, as she greeted her "public," as a true unaffected little queen would be expected to do. She was dressed in a yellow sport suit which showed her brilliant, sparkling brunette off to perfection.

Darla Jean is a member of Hal Roach's "Our Gang" troupe and has been making personal appearances in the East. One of the group, Spanky McFarland, took measles, so the tour ended. Mr. and Mrs. Hood and Darla Jean are spending the time with relatives in Sayre and Erick and at their home in Leedey. They will leave early next week for Hollywood, where Darla Jean will take up her work in Motion pictures again.

While in Erick she was a guest of her grandmother, Mrs. Nora Hood. Her father, Jim Claud Hood, is a native of Erick and lived here until 1920. He was employed in the First National Bank here and is still working for the Thurmans at Leedey.
