Dayton will shortly be host to a Warner Brothers movie star. If what her press agents say is true, she bids fair to become an important box office attraction in not so many years hence.
She is Patsy Doris May, who is now all of five years old, but could be classed as a veteran in the business since she has been in the movies since she was 15 months old.
She will shortly visit her great grandfather, Jesse Collins, who lives on the Wilmington pike a short distance from Beavertown. He is anticipating her visit with a great deal of pleasure sometime this spring, when she can take a brief vacation between pictures.
Patsy was the baby of Our Gang comedies when they were going but has lately been engaged by Warner Brothers. She visited here last year and was taken to many of the Dayton schools for a personal appearance where she made friends and fans by the hundreds.
Her mother died when she was only several days old and the child was adopted by Mr. Ross May, and her grandmother, Mrs. Clara May, daughter of Mr. Collins.
When she was 15 months old, Patsy appeared in some of the old Hal Roach comedies in brief but important roles.
The studios which have used Patsy's important talents have made wide use of her photographs. Likenesses of her have appeared on cards, calendars, and she has been the subject of many stories in magazines, all fully illustrated. She has been the guest of Christmas parties, given by Hollywood stars and the recipient of numerous and costly gifts and presents from them.
When she comes to Dayton, Patsy will be accompanied by Mrs. May and both will be guests at Mr. Collins' home.
