"Freckles" Harry Spear, of Hal Roach's well known "Our Gang" comedies, who is making a personal appearance at the Capitol Theatre this week says he would like to stay in New Castle longer and get better acquainted. He says that his big trouble is that as soon as he begins to make friends in a town he has to move on.
Harry is a normal American youngster and took great delight in the season's first snowfall which occurred Friday morning (the 6th). He likes it, he says, because in California he can not play in the snow unless he goes to the mountains.
"Freckles" has worked with the "Gang" for three years now. He appeared in the movies first when he was two and one-half years old. Some of his most recent talking productions have been "Railroadin'," "Fast Freight," "Wiggle Your Ears" and "Smallpox."
Saturday night will be his last appearance at the Capitol. He sings and dances exceptionally well and entertains with stories about the "Gang" and Hollywood. See him tonight - the "Kid" is clever.
