Today will be "Orphans's Day" with little Harry "Freckles" Spear, Hollywood's beloved bad boy of the famous "Our Gang" comedies, and the rest of Memphis can go hang by its heels and drop from the highest part of the Harahan Bridge.

When "Freckles" learned that only tomorrow and Saturday (the 20th) would be spent in personal appearances at the Strand Theater and that he would have today at his disposal, he asked his manager to arrange for his appearance at as many of the local orphanages as possible.

Through the courtesy of M. A. Lightman of the Malco Theaters, arrangements were made for "Freckles," his dog and rabbit and a piano player to entertain the children of Porter Home and Leath Orphanage and St. Peter's Orphanage at 2:30 and 4 o'clock, respectively, this afternoon. His program will consist of his original singing, dancing and talking specialties.

In addition to his appearances at the theater and the orphanages, "Freckles" will be in the boys' clothing department of Goldsmith's at 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning, where he will display his stamp collection and explain how miniature aeroplanes should be constructed. All boys and girls of Memphis are invited to attend.
