The video product of Hal Roach Studios has been distributed by Image Entertainment. Also credited for the
releases listed below is Fast Forward Marketing. It should be noted that Hal Roach Studios sold off most of its product
several decades ago, and subsequently acquired product made by other studios. Ultimately, they were swallowed up by RHI
Entertainment and later Hallmark. That being said, the videos released under the Hal Roach Studios name are actually a
company previously called Nostalgia Archive, and are not associated with the Roach company. This company changed their
name (with much controversy) to Hal Roach Studios in 1998. Therefore, most of the films found on the videos
released by this company are not Hal Roach films. When a Roach film is included on a Hal Roach video, it's usually a
film that's in the public domain. The laserdiscs were released by Nostalgia Archive, while the VHS and DVD releases
came about after the name-change. Volumes 3 through 7 of the laserdisc series listed below do not contain Our Gang
material and are therefore not listed.
